Do Not Have Your Child Work Ahead in the Book

Dear Parents,

Starting this week, we will be working on lowercase letters of the alphabet. This week, the children will work only on letter t. Please have your child trace the letter and then write their own. Please have them work on the letter t tonight and return the book tomorrow. Beginning next week, they will work on two letters per week (Please see below). This book is in the order we will be formally introducing the letters according to our Fundations program. It will be sent home every Tuesday beginning on September 14th . Please have your child complete the appropriate pages and return the book to school each Wednesday. We will eventually work on uppercase letters and review lowercase letters after all lowercase letter are introduced.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR CHILD WORK AHEAD IN THE BOOK!!

Also, please have your child sit in proper handwriting position and use a good pencil grip close to the bottom of the pencil when writing his/her letters. This will help them to write more neatly. They have been taught what this looks like and they have practiced it in class. They should only write in PENCIL. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to write me a note. Thank you for your continued home support!
