<p> Kate Nettles 7th Grade English/Literature Lesson Plans Week 8: October 7 th – 11 th M: Starter: Grade Sentence Fragments and Run-on sheet Enrichment: Students who have turned in their permission forms and who have turned in their scene settings may begin filming their iMovie EmilyPost Technology project. Filming portions will take place in the library, hallway, gymn, and cafeteria. Students must make strides to complete their “Halloween History” Prezi presentations. 3 rd -7 th Period: Students will be introduced to Quizlet to make notecards for their vocabulary test on Wednesday (10/09/13). Students will finish making virtual vocabulary boards for “The Giver” via discoveryeducation.com. Boards are due at the end of class. Homework: Study for vocabulary test for “The Giver” (10/9/13). Complete Quizlet virtual notecards. T: Starter: Enroll in Mrs. Nettles’ Moodle course. Enrichment: Students who have turned in their permission forms and who have turned in their scene settings may begin filming their iMovie EmilyPost Technology project. Presentations will be due Friday (10/11/13). 3 rd -7 th Period : The Giver vocabulary review. Students will break in groups to compete for five extra credit points for “The Giver” vocabulary test. Review for SSR project at discoveryeducation.com. Homework: Study for vocabulary test for “The Giver” (tomorrow). Complete Quizlet virtual notecards. W: Enrichment: Students who have turned in their permission forms and who have turned in their scene settings may begin filming their iMovie EmilyPost Technology project. Filming portions will take place in the library, hallway, gymn, and cafeteria. Students must make strides to complete their “Halloween History” Prezi presentations. Presentations will be due Thursday at the end of class and Friday (10/11/13). 3 rd – 7 th Period: Vocabulary Test via Moodle. Students will complete Halloween sheets when completed. ***Field Trip from periods 4th-7th. Homework: Begin working on Silent Sustained Reading Project on Discovery Education’s website. Due November 8th!! R: Starter: Decode the Paragraph. Students will be given a paragraph will poorly contructed sentences, abbreviations, and misspelled words. They will have to decode the sentence, then correctly re-write the sentence. Enrichment: Students who have turned in their permission forms and who have turned in their scene settings may begin filming their iMovie EmilyPost Technology project. Filming portions will take place in the library, hallway, gymn, and cafeteria. Students must make strides to complete their Kate Nettles 7th Grade English/Literature Lesson Plans “Halloween History” Prezi presentations. Presentations will be due Thursday at the end of class and Friday (10/11/13). 3 rd -7 th Period: Grammar: Orientation to clauses. Students will learn: noun, independent, adjective, adverb clauses.
