<p> University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey 2008 Commencement Wednesday, May 21, 2008 – 10:00 a.m. IZOD Center (Arena) - The Meadowlands Sports Complex 50 State Route 120, East Rutherford, NJ 07073</p><p>FACULTY INSTRUCTIONS</p><p>TRAVEL AND ARRIVAL</p><p>Directions to the IZOD Center are attached. Parking is available in the parking deck and surface parking lots 21 and 26. Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. Please enter via the Box Office entrance (Ticket Sales & Center Offices) located directly across from the parking garage and proceed down the left escalator to the lower level. A Robing Area Access pass is necessary to enter this area. </p><p>A continental breakfast will be available in the Press Room on the lower level. </p><p>ROBING AND LINE-UP</p><p>Rooms will be available in which faculty can robe on the lower level of the arena. Dressing rooms for men and women, as well as the room where ironing service will be available for those needing their attire pressed, will be available across the hallway adjacent to the Press Room. Please do not plan to leave anything of value in the dressing rooms.</p><p>Faculty members are asked to line up for the academic procession no later than 9:45 a.m. School Faculty Marshals will assist in directing you to the lineup location on the lower level.</p><p>The University Marshal will lead the procession followed by the Master Educators’ Guild and then the faculty of each School. The Master Educators’ Guild and faculty will be seated in the first several rows of seats in the left and right hand seating areas flanking the students and facing the stage and platform party. For your convenience, a commencement program will be placed on your chair. </p><p>ACADEMIC ATTIRE RETURN</p><p>Following the recessional, please return all rented academic attire (cap, gown and hood) to the company representatives who will be collecting them in the dressing rooms.</p><p>Special note regarding academic attire and convocations: Faculty/administration planning to use rental attire for both their Convocation event as well as the UMDNJ Commencement should retain their attire after the Convocation. Attire turned in following the Convocation will not be reissued for Commencement. If individuals are unable to attend Commencement, attire should be returned at their Convocation. If attire is kept for use at the Commencement and plans are later changed, it may be returned to either your school Registrar’s Office or sent to the Office of the University Registrar, SSB GA72, Newark Campus.
