<p>February 2017</p><p>Dear Parents and Carers of Year 6, </p><p>SATs CELEBRATION TRIP</p><p>As I am sure you are aware, the children in Year 6 are working incredibly hard in the lead up to the national SATs tests which take place week commencing 8th May. On the Friday of SATs week, we will be taking the children to Greenwich Park for a fun day out - a letter about this trip will be sent home in due course.</p><p>On May 24th we will be taking all of Year 6 to see Matilda the Musical at The Cambridge Theatre in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to see a professional West End production ahead of us working towards our own summer show. Please note: as this is a matinee performance, we will arrive back to school later than 3:20pm (details regarding the exact arrangements will be sent nearer the trip date). </p><p>The tickets were originally priced at £25 per ticket; however, we have been able to reduce this down to £14 per child. We understand this is a substantial amount of money but we are certain that this will provide a valuable learning opportunity for the children. Should you have any concerns over making a payment, please speak to Victoria Spencer in the school office. If your child is entitled to free school meals then the school will cover the cost of their ticket.</p><p>In addition to the above, we have 6 additional tickets for adults. Any adults accompanying will be required to pay for their ticket (at the same price as a child). In the first instance, please only indicate if you are available and willing to chaperone the children on this trip and we will ask for payment from adults at a later date.
