We do this by believing in the power of individuals to change, building lives through service programs shaped by the needs and experience of our clients, and changing minds to promote the creation of a fair, humane and truly rehabilitative correctional system by educating the public about the current system and by proposing needed changes in that system. </p><p>The Position</p><p>The Fortune Society is seeking to fill the position of Senior Director of Scattered-Site Housing. The Senior Director will have direct oversight of all programmatic operations. The Senior Director will also be responsible for resident/participant selection, contract management, reporting, data collection and community relations. On/off-site services for participants include: case management/counseling, crisis intervention, life skills training, family reunification, substance abuse treatment, financial literacy, computer literacy training, and other direct and collateral services. The Senior Director will report to the Associate Vice President of Housing and will directly supervise Case Management staff. The Senior Director will be responsible for the overall performance of the project measured by the success of our participants. Candidates must have experience managing a congregate and/or scattered-site supportive housing projects and significant experience working with distressed and fragile individuals. Knowledge of the NYNYIII program is a plus. We strongly encourage qualified formerly incarcerated individuals to apply. Responsibilities Include</p><p> Supervise and manage the day to day operations of the scattered-site program (over 100 units of housing)  Ensure that participants are provided with services necessary to build strong independent lives  Manage multiple contracts/revenue/budgets – currently including NYNYIII (DOHMH and OASAS), HUD/HOPWA, OASAS Reentry  Manage community relationships  Provide supervision to case managers  Manage service delivery, maintain contract compliance  Develop and/or modify operations manual, protocol and procedures  Conduct in-service training for staff  Identify and incorporate best practices  Represent Fortune at supportive housing functions and other community functions as needed  Perform other related duties as needed</p><p>Qualifications</p><p> Masters degree in Business Management/Social Work Administration or other life/professional experience equivalent to a Masters Degree  A minimum of eight years experience in senior management capacity, with at least five years working in congregate or scattered-site programs  Significant experience working with distressed families and individuals  Strong contract management skill  Strong documentation and analytical skills  Strong verbal and written communication skills  Ability to be team player and work independently  Strong computer skills</p><p>All resumes must be submitted along with a cover letter specifying the position for which you are applying, in addition to salary requirement.
