LANDRY PARISH 4-H ACHIEVEMENT DAY</p><p>The 2012 St. Landry Parish 4-H Achievement Day was held on</p><p>Saturday, April 21st at Opelousas High School. The event was presided over by Lisa Benoit, Associate Extension Agent (4-H) and Lou Ann</p><p>Mckeivier, Assistant Extension Agent (4-H). 4-H club representatives exhibited banners in a procession as a salute to participants at the opening of the program. </p><p>In recognition of outstanding contribution to 4-H club work through leadership, citizenship, community service and project work, two Scott Truck & Tractor Scholarships were presented to Sarah Morrow, MACA and James Prather, Member at Large.</p><p>Lou Ann Mckeivier presented plaques for outstanding 4-H Records. Winners were:</p><p>Discovering 4-H: Kayley Vigee, Glendale Elementary</p><p>Alyssa LeBlanc, Leonville Elementary</p><p>Grades 4-6: Hannah Hebert, St. Ignatius Elementary</p><p>Mya Miller, Sunset Middle</p><p>Grades 7-8: Stephanie Wyble, Leonville Elementary</p><p>1 Grades 9-12: Mallory Wyble, Beau Chene High</p><p>Lisa Benoit presented the "Louisiana 4-H Foundation Award of Excellence" for Junior members to Lindsay Cutchall, Washington Elementary; Hannah Hebert, St. Ignatius; Lauren</p><p>Hebert, Arnaudville Elementary and Blaise Stelly, Leonville Elementary. The Key Club</p><p>Award was presented to Mallory Wyble, Beau Chene High. The following 4-H Seniors were presented with the 4-H Honor Cord: Cody Beard, Beau Chene High; Mckenzie Brown,</p><p>Opelousas High; Sarah Morrow, MACA; James Prather, Member at Large and Jacob Stelly,</p><p>Beau Chene High.</p><p>Four-H'ers competed throughout the day for various awards, ribbons, certificates and a chance to represent St. Landry 4-H at the statewide competition in Baton Rouge at LSU in</p><p>June.
