<p>News 03.05.2017</p><p>3Shape qualifies BEGO Varseo as validated 3D printer for surgical guides </p><p>By launching the Varseo 3D printing system in 2015, BEGO already qualified coDiagnostiX* (Dental Wings*) and Implant Studio* (3Shape*) as software solutions for implant planning. In March this year, the BEGO 3D printer and the resin VarseoWax Surgical Guide were integrated into the latest version of the 3Shape implant planning software, Implant Studio. </p><p>The 3Shape software, Implant Studio, combines best technologies for prosthetic- oriented implant planning and the production of surgical guides.</p><p>“The 3Shape software solution allows excellent results of implant planning and prosthesis with highest esthetic demands. With this software and our unique Varseo 3D printing system we offer our customers an optimal package of validated processes and parameters for producing surgical guides”, says Dennis Wachtel, Head of Product Management at BEGO Bremer Goldschlägerei and BEGO Medical. </p><p>Wachtel further states, “Especially against the background of the tightened requirements on manufacturers of medical devices under the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) such validated processes become more and more important. With validated processes from scanning to finishing and the associated process documentation we ensure that our customers will meet the future requirements on the production for medical devices in compliance with the MDR”. </p><p>The 3D implant planning software, Implant Studio, facilitates the import and the processing of scan data. On the basis of the finalized implant planning the STL files of the designed surgical guides are imported into the nesting software 3Shape CAMbridge and are prepared for the 3D printing process. </p><p>The BEGO 3D printer, which has been developed with and for dental laboratories, is a multi-talent for labside production of different dental supplies made of resins.
