<p> Mrs. Garber’s Second Grade May 12, 2017</p><p>This Week: Math: We completed our end of the year Math Benchmark Assessment on Wednesday. The students did well and have learned many new math skills in second grade. Please continue to practice addition and subtraction facts over the summer to help your child to be ready for third grade. Writing: Students spent the week reflecting on the past school year and recorded their thoughts in their own class memory book. At the end of the week the student’s autographed the memory books. This book would make a great keepsake! Next Week will be a week full of learning activities and reward days. These will include Schoolwide “Jump Day”, Fossil Day, Career Day, AR Reading Assembly, and HKC Closing Ceremony. Specials: Upcoming Events 5/15 – Field Day and “3P” Day Monday- Day 4: Art (Picnic, Popsicles, extra Play) Tuesday- Day 5: Library 5/16 – Fossil Day Wednesday- Career Day! 5/17- Career Day Thursday- Day 6: Release 5/ 18- Reading Award (AR) Assembly and Friday- Day 7: Music Cassell Closing Ceremony 5/19- All books belonging to Mrs. Garber are due! 5/22- Second grade movie reward day! 5/23 – Last day of school- 1:00 Dismissal As you are spring cleaning if you have any children’s books that you would like to donate to our class library, I would be glad to take them!
