Treasurer’s Report was given by Sherri Arlen 1. Brenda Fellenz made a motion for approval for the Treasurer’s Report. Lorrie Shafer seconded. Vote: Motion carried 2. Brenda Fellenz made a motion for approval for the State Council Budget. Charles Schlichting seconded. Vote: Motion carried </p><p>C. Past Meeting Minutes</p><p>1. May, 2012 Meeting minutes were approved as read. Motion made by Joan Boll and seconded by Sharon Thorpe. Vote: Motion carried 2. August, 2012 Meeting minutes were approved as read. Motion made by Joan Boll. Jill Fisher seconded. Vote: Motion carried 3. November, 2013 Meeting minutes were approved. Lisa Ebert made a motion to accept the meeting minutes. Joan Boll seconded. Vote: Motion carried. </p><p>D. Chair Positions (1 year positions) Symposium Chair: Joan Boll and Denice Shepler. Melissa and Joan have met with Personnel from the hotel for Fall Symposium (Paper Valley, Appleton). Melissa Fisher will help with vendors Trauma: Jill Fisher Injury Prevention: Lisa Ebert Pediatrics: Joy Erb-Mosher EMS STAC: Brenda Fellenz Newsletter and Web Site: Sharon Thorpe</p><p>Vacant: Government Affairs Leadership Nursing Coalition </p><p>E. Future Meetings • 3/27: 1600-Clarion Inn-Eau Claire (Follows Regional Symposium) • 5/14: 1300—1600: Divine Savior-Portage • 8/13: 1300—1600: Stevens Point--?? St. Michael’s Hospital—to be determined • 11/12: 1530—Verona, Epic Campus</p><p>F. 2014 Leadership Conference—Phoenix—State Leaders Meeting 1. Airfare & 3 nights hotel, and daily stipend for 3 days will be covered for Directors who will be attending the State Leaders meeting. Request must by January 11, 2014 to attend the State Leaders Meeting. • Request must be Letter of Intent and </p><p>1 • Completed Point Tool</p><p>2. Brenda Fellenz made a motion to offer 6 scholarships early-bird rate (425.00) registration fee for Leadership Conference. Chuck Schlichting seconded. Vote: Motion carried. </p><p>• Deadline for submission application is at 2359 ( 1 minute before midnight!) on January 15, 2014. Denise Shepler will send email invite to all state ENA members. • Denise and Jayne McGrath will review applications for eligibility. Brenda Fellenz and Melissa Fisher will not be reviewing applications for eligibility since they will be applying. • Application, sent to Denise Shepler must include: o Letter of Intent and o Completed Point Tool</p><p>F. Scholarship Offerings for 2014: 1. The following scholarships will be offered for the calendar year, 2014: • 7 CEN, CPEN, and CFRN • 7 TNCC, ENPC, and GENE, • 10 National Scientific Assembly (Indianapolis, IN) • 10 State Symposium (Appleton, WI) 2. Deadline to apply for these scholarships is March 1, 2014. Application, sent to Denise Shepler, must include: o Letter of Intent and o Completed Point Tool 3. If unused scholarship application money is available: A 2nd application deadline will be August 1, 2014. 4. One scholarship per person per calendar year, maximum. </p><p>Lisa Ebert made a motion to accept this offering of scholarships. Brenda Fellenz seconded. Vote: Motion carried. </p><p>G. Upcoming Regional Symposiums:</p><p>1. February Regional Symposium (Feb. 6, 2014) in Weston, WI at the Fairfield Inn. Hotel rooms are available for $59.00/night. Brenda Fellenz discussed the content that will be covered in this 1-day conference. 2. March Regional Symposium (March 27, 2014) in Eau Claire at the Clarion Inn (same location as the 2013—the hotel as changed names)</p><p>H. State Symposium: September 16 -17, 2014 (Appleton, WI—Paper Valley Hotel): Jeff Solheim will be presenting. Possible topics to request him to present: • Trauma Triad • Crash/mechanism and prediction of injury • Possible Leadership talk</p><p>2 • Lab Analyses Further discussion ensued on topics, speakers. </p><p>I. Committee Reports:</p><p>1. Trauma: Jill Fisher-Update information provided. Provider manuals will be paid for only WI residents who teach (course instructors). 2. Injury Prevention: Lisa Ebert-No updates 3. EMS Stac: Brenda Fellenz-Next meeting is 2/3 4. Newsletter/Web site: Sharon Thorpe-2/15 deadline for article submission. March 15 Newsletter distribution date. Fall Newsletter tentative date: Sep. article submission, October distribution. </p><p>J. Current Policies that were updated Jayne McGrath made a motion to approve the following: Approve: The Bylaws Revision, Conflict Of Interest, Whistle Blower Protection Policy, Anti- trust Policy, and Reserve Policy. Federal Tax ID number use policy-Approved contingent upon the required years will be clarified and aligned with National ENA. Jayne McGrath motion, Jill Fisher seconded. Vote: Motion carried. </p><p>J. Open Agenda Melisa Fisher presented information asking for endorsement to support the initiative from the Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Executives with approaching State Legislature to create a state license plate identifying/supporting Nursing. The WI ENA approved this initiative. </p><p>Chuck Schlichting made a motion to adjourned the meeting. Lorrie Shafer seconded the motion. Vote: Motion carried. 1545-Meeting adjourned. </p><p>3</p>
