<p> Provost’s Council</p><p>Held: February 25, 2016</p><p>Attendees: B. Barnett, E. Daffron, R. Atkinson, E. Rainforth, S. Perry, H. Essafi, L. Siecke, G. Khaneja, T. Landers for A. Chinni, A. Lorenz, E. Saiff, M. Dunn, M. Van Der Wall, G. Tabback, L. Chakrin, S. Rice, T. Rakotobe-Joel, and E. Abbey.</p><p>The minutes from January 28, 2016 were approved with no corrections.</p><p>Update From the Provost: The Provost accepted council recommendations on all policy/procedures that were accepted at previous meeting on January 28, with exception of those that are still in review: 300-YY - Definition of a Ramapo Student and 300-XX – Undergraduate Teaching Responsibilities.</p><p>Policies in Review: </p><p>Policy/Procedure 300-YY – Definition of a Ramapo Student – Has not yet gone to Cabinet for their feedback. The Provost asked for more time so that the policy/procedure can move through Cabinet under the guidance of B. Goldstein, who is currently on leave. </p><p>Policy/Procedure 300-XX – Undergraduate Teaching Responsibilities –E. Rainforth stated that Faculty Assembly voted to keep the wording of the original policy (i.e., the version prior to the current proposed revision) but add language about exceptions to meet accreditation standards. After a discussion among council members, S. Rice asked if the vote could be deferred another 30 days to allow Deans’ Council the opportunity to consider Faculty Assembly’s proposed revision. In consultation with the Provost, E. Daffron, chair, granted that extension. </p><p>Information Item:</p><p>Policy/Procedure 300-V – Certificate Programs - </p><p>There was a wording change made in the procedure under program proposals. The change to the procedure was accepted recommended to the Provost for her approval.</p>
