Then, write meaningful sentences (declaratives) using the first 4 vocabulary words. Tuesday: Which of your spelling words rhyme with “pair”? Find a rime for “star” & “shark” (a rime is a rhyming word that has the same spelling pattern). Write meaningful sentences using vocabulary words #5-8 Wednesday: Write each of your high frequency words (the last 3 spelling words) 2 times, each. Check that you are correctly spelling them!? Using a thesaurus, find a SYNONYM for “built” and then find an ANTONYM for “built”. Write meaningful sentences (declaratives or interrogatives) for vocabulary words #9-11. Thursday: Study your spelling & vocabulary words so you’re ready for Friday’s test. Note: If you got 100 % on the spelling pretest, you will not need to do the Monday or Tuesday spelling portion of the homework, but you MUST do the vocabulary activities. Please do the thesaurus part of Wednesday’s homework. Instead of the spelling words, please choose 1 set of words on my “Tricky Word List” and make a picture dictionary that includes a meaningful sentence & meaningful question. (See “Tricky Word List” sheet for instructions)</p>
