<p> Wilmington/Carolina Beach/Fort Fisher/Southport Field Trip Itinerary Friday, October 19, 2012</p><p>12:30 a.m. Depart ACHS 6:30 a.m. Breakfast in Wilmington/Carolina Beach Area 7:30 a.m. Stop 1: North End of Carolina Beach/Carolina Beach Pier Stop 2: The Riggins Condominiums/NC Beach Access Stop 3: Seawall at Fort Fisher/Visit Fort/Maritime Forest 10:30 a.m. NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher 12:15 pm NC Fort Fisher/Southport Ferry 1:00 pm Arrive at Southport (3 groups here – w/ 1 hr allotted for each activity) G1 Lunch @ Yacht Basin Provision Co. / Water quality studies G2 Walking Tour of Southport / Population Study in the Graveyard 5:00 p.m. Depart Southport 7:00 p.m. Stop for dinner 11:00 p.m. Arrive at ACHS</p><p>Chaperones: Kim Brown, Becky Dupuis, Latonia Bostic, William Mitchell, Sherry Rees</p><p>Cost: $65.00 plus money for breakfast (Cracker Barrel), dinner (Fast Food), and souvenirs. Lunch at the Yacht Basin Provision Co. is included in the cost of the trip.</p><p>Things you will need: Field Trip Guide/Handouts Pen/Pencils Digital Camera Money Sunblock Sunglasses Hat Comfortable clothing, shoe, and sandals Bag or container with a lid labeled with your name for collecting Beach towel/blanket and pillow for the bus Snack food items Small backpack to storing all of your items *You may bring handheld electronics (iPod, phones, video games, etc.) to be used on the bus, however we ask that you put those items away when being addressed by a staff member or tour guide. *School dress code does apply. Do remember that you are representing your school and community. Dress should be appropriate for the weather. We recommend that you dress in layers. *DO NOT bring more than you can carry or keep up with!</p><p>Historic Southport Trail, a Self-Guided Walking Tour - The Southport Historical Society makes history come alive as you enjoy a relaxed one-mile walk through charming Historic Southport. You may pick up a brochure at the Southport Visitor’s Center, 113 W. Moore Street, Southport or the Southport-Oak Island Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center, 4841 Long Beach Road.
