<p>Call for Panels The 4th Workshop on the LivingLabs in the Innovative Cross-border eRegion Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor Kidričeva cesta 55a, 4000 Kranj, Slovenia http://eCenter.FOV.Uni-Mb.si/eLivingLabWorkshop Thursday, November 8, 2007</p><p>Dear Colleague,</p><p>You are invited to submit a combined business & government & academic panel proposal to “The 4th Workshop on the LivingLabs in the Innovative Cross-border eRegion”. There will be two plenary sessions (opening 9:00 – 10:30 & closing 16:00 – 17:30), and two parallel panel sessions (11:00 – 12:30 & 14:00 – 15:30). Panel chairs will report on the panel’s conclusion in the closing plenary session.</p><p>A panel is expected to explore innovative ways of exploiting the latest Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and demonstrate innovative use of ICT in an experimental environment (via prototypes, LivingLabs, centers of excellence etc.). Recommended are short presentations of operational usage of ICT in a real-life setting in order to illustrate the results based on “proof of concept”. The panel may created expectations and encouragements by practicly applicable components of the “big picture eSolutions“ (seeing is believing). The panelists may suggest new research agendas and development methodologies, as well as joint project(s) and marketing. </p><p>A special goal of the panels’ sessions is to highlight current issues and future impacts of ICT in cross-border eRegion development. At least two countries are expected to be represented in the panel. Sessions demonstrating successful innovative eCollaboration in developing ICT-powered eSolutions in collaboration of business, government, and academia in cross-industry, and/or cross- disciplinary environments are particularly welcome. </p><p>Panelists and workshop participants are expected to register for the workshop. There are no costs involved; a participant covers her/his travel and accommodation costs.</p><p>The panel proposal (1 page) should indicate panel title, panel chair and the panelists (name, position, affiliation, country, e-mail address), the panel’s topic, issues to be discussed, and solution(s) to be presented. </p><p>Please e-mail your panel proposal as soon as possible and not later than Monday, September 17, 2007. Notification of acceptance is Monday, October 1, 2007.
