<p> APWA Baton Rouge Branch February 2012 Board Meeting Minutes</p><p>Date and Time: Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:30 am Location: Fenstermaker Conference Room Attendees: Lisa Smith, Laura Brownell, Josh Graham, Suzanne McCain, Terry Blades, Sparkle Noble, Sarah Edel, Cyndi Pennington, Jarred Tramonte, Ben Blades, Cory Belden, Shannon Dupont, Shane Nichols, Amy Schultz</p><p>1. Scholarships</p><p>Shannon reported that 3 applications have been received. The deadline is May 7th. Shannon, David, and Mira will review and score applications. Shannon will get Public Works week announcement and scholarship awards on Council Agenda for Wednesday May 15 or May 22 meeting.</p><p>1. Public Works Week </p><p>We will host Safety Meetings at the lots (8 meetings total) and schedule them for the week of May 14th. Shane will get contacts and schedule. We will have APWA volunteers attend each meeting and bring coffee, donuts, juice, fruit, and posters. Sarah will schedule Darian Williams to speak during the safety meetings. </p><p>2. Utility Coordination Seminar– Click, Listen, & Learn o Scheduled for April 10, 8am – noon o Sarah to get Josh number or people registered Monday April 9 o Food Items – Josh to pick up breakfast items: juice, donuts, fruit</p><p>3. Financial Report </p><p>Laura Brownell submitted the treasurer’s report. The Branch made $7 on the LES/APWA Luncheon. We donated $200 to Bike to Work Week, will be listed as a sponsor on the T- shirts. </p><p>4. Membership</p><p>Suzanne contacted the city of Alexandria about having a lunch to see about starting a branch. Terry met with Lafayette DPW and indicated that they were very interested in starting a branch. Shreveport is also interested. It was decided to have a branch starting meeting in June in Lafayette. </p><p>5. Christmas Party</p><p>Jarred to make reservations to Elegant Memories for December 17th and put down a deposit. 6. Golf Tournament</p><p>Cory asked for quotes, but hasn’t heard back yet. It was decided to go with The Bluffs for October 15th (Amy to make reservation.) The shirt color was decided to be medium blue. Cory is going to call Red Stick Sports for a quote. </p><p>NEXT MEETING: May 2, 2012</p>
