<p> EXAMPLE</p><p>Procurement Memorandum for Direct Negotiation (Name of Equipment / Services)</p><p>1.0 OBJECTIVE</p><p>This memorandum is prepared to seek an approval from Pengarah RMC/ Jawatankuasa Sebut harga RMC/ Pengarah CICT/Jawatankuasa Perolehan Universiti (JKSU)/ Jawatankuasa Perolehan Peralatan & Perkhidmatan Penyelidikan B for the process of Direct Negotiation to procure (Name of equipment / services ) from (Name of the Supplier). *(Name of the Supplier) is the only Sole Distributor for (Manufactuer / Service Provider).</p><p>Please state a reason why the supplier has been chosen.</p><p>2.0 BACKGROUND AND BASIS OF APPOINTMENT</p><p>According to the requirements of the university’s R&D project on the properties of hollow sphere structures, the project will need a quantity of specimen material for more and most reliable expremental investigations. </p><p>Previously the same quantity of specimens has been ordered from R&D project vote number 79130. Ordering the same quantity of specimens offers the possibility for much more experimental investigations.</p><p>This application is the second application. The market price was estimated about RM 45,00.00 dan and for education & research purpose, the price was RM 28,000.00</p><p>3.0 JUSTIFICATION</p><p>Two pieces of specimens as specified in the attahed papers is needed of the same size (300 x 300 x 30 mm) but different ways of process of production (glued and sintered with different densities) which are iron based metal hollow sphere structures. These structures can be applied for absorption of for instane sound or impact. One of the advantageous properties of this material is the high temperature resistance and high mechanical strengh.</p><p>The equipments of producing sinterd metal hollow sphere structures are only available at Glatt GmbH.</p><p>Allocation for this procurement will solely financed by research vote Institutional 77501.</p><p>4.0 SUMMARY</p><p>We are humbly requested Tresurer of Malaysia’s discretionary to support and approve this application.
