<p> Meeting Minutes January 21, 2016 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. Watertown Senior and Community Center </p><p>Introductions and review of agenda  Attendance: Susan Wollin, Sarah Stocks, Abbey Frye, Gary Fisk, Tina Crave, Kelli Kuenzi, and Lynn Gilbert. </p><p>Review of events and resources  Candlelight Hike through the Woods o Saturday, February 6th Brandt Quirk Park from 6-8 pm. . Meet at Brandt Baseball Center Parking lot . Maps for 1.5 and 2 miles . stargazing . Bonfire . All weather event / admission is free</p><p> o Harvest Market has ongoing classes months of January and February</p><p>Community Health Priorities  Access to Care – (Andrea is unable to attend) report sent by e-mail o Mental health - 16% of the total visits for last month. This may have been the last month for mental health visits. o Head, Ears, Eyes, Nose and Throat - 11% for last month.</p><p> Active Community Environments—Gary</p><p> o Walk on Saturday</p><p>. Numbers are down a little</p><p>. Moved Indoors</p><p> January 9 – 12 walkers</p><p> January 23 – 20 walkers</p><p> o Community Giving Project – All </p><p>. Donate food items to the local food pantry . Healthy food drive – whole wheat pasta and rice, canned fruits and vegetables in water. </p><p>. Could we set up food pantry donation stations at Towne Cinema and Health Department? </p><p> o Contacted the Daily Times to announce walks /food drive – Voice of the People</p><p> o Gary will send out weekly e-mail and food drive announcements</p><p> Park and Rec—Kelli</p><p> o Red Cross Babysitting CPR/First Aid ( over spring break) </p><p> o Youth Archery-Tues evenings</p><p> o Ballet, Tap, Jazz</p><p> o Spring Soccer registration / adult indoor soccer</p><p> o Senior fitness classes</p><p> o Tri Athlon class is full</p><p> o Winter swim lessons are full</p><p> o Indoor pool is open</p><p> o Ski trails open</p><p> o Ice rink open at Silver Creek </p><p> WUSD/ Food Systems—Joan o No report </p><p> o Other Items  Facebook update o Used to only show the walk, now sharing other information including other area hospitals (Fort Health Care)/committees events o January 7-123 people saw walk o January 16- 120 people saw the walk  CHIPS (Community Health Improvement Planning Committee) o Meeting regularly o promoting local bicycle trails o Engaging in social media o  Susan—Brief discussion </p><p> o What are we doing well as a committee? What can we do better?</p><p> o What are the needs of Get Healthy Watertown? Community members? </p><p> o Community assessment-poverty/ mental health issues/ families focused on healthy options at no cost/ individuals being mindful about health and wellness. </p><p>Focus for Next Month:</p><p> Goals using the Logic Model: Social Media and Increase Membership.</p>
