<p>Very Basic Blackboard Instructions:</p><p> Accessing Blackboard</p><p> o You can access Blackboard via ULink, the main UofL page, or directly at blackboard.louisville.edu</p><p> o You will need your University distributed username and password to access Blackboard.</p><p> Main Blackboard Interface</p><p> o On the left side of the page, you will see a list of courses. Please select our course ENG 101-XX.</p><p> Course Page Interface</p><p> o While announcements show up on the front page, all other tasks are controlled through the user panel on the left side. I make use of most of these tabs, but will leave it to you to explore. </p><p> o For our purposes today, I’m most interested in two specific tabs.</p><p>. Assignments: Daily Assignments will be found here with due dates.</p><p>. Communication: Please use the email option here to contact me via email.</p><p> o Many documents I place on Blackboard are linked as attachments. Please follow the on-screen directions to access these files.</p><p> Learning Blackboard</p><p> o While the help search and the IT desk can be of assistance, the best way to learn any computer software is to become familiar with its interface. Take the time to “wander” through Blackboard, for doing so will make your academic life easier.</p><p> o If you face challenges when getting to know Blackboard, please ask me or contact the IT helpdesk. While I don’t assume that using computer program interfaces comes quickly to everyone, I can only offer assistance to those who ask. Basic Blackboard knowledge is necessary to meet daily expectations in this class.</p>
