<p> NEWS RELEASE</p><p>HELLENIC ELECRONIC CENTER www.greece.org [email protected]</p><p>The Hellenic Electronic Center Introduces </p><p>Neolaia/Schools A New Worldwide Hellenic Electronic Youth HEC Project</p><p>New York, NY -- September 15, 1997 (HEC) -- The Hellenic Electronic Center (HEC) announced today that it has created yet another HEC project, NEOLAIA/SCHOOLS. A virtual classroom to accommodate its expanding membership and to facilitate stronger networking amongst educators, its Hellenic youth, student members and participating member schools of Hellenic influence worldwide (http://www.greece.org/neolaia).</p><p>In the interest of an electronic union of Hellenic youth and culture, HEC member Elementary, Gymnasium and Lyceum level students, along with member school teachers and youth organizations of Hellenic influence throughout the world, will come together on the NEOLAIA/SCHOOLS project. The creation of the web site will enable all to receive free technical assistance on Internet, offer web page production, free web space, view each others projects and artwork, use mailing lists and chat rooms as forums to discuss each others events, take part in competitions, activities and cultural commonalities.</p><p>NEOLAIA/SCHOOLS will include the following categories: </p><p>ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS GYMNASIUM SCHOOLS -- Middle/Junior High Schools LYCEUMS -- High Schools</p><p>Proposed sub-categories are: EUROPE NORTH & SOUTH AMERICA ASIA AFRICA AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND</p><p>HEC is a non-political, non-profit organization comprised of Hellenes and Phil-Hellenes around the world committed to utilizing their skills and interest to promote Hellenism. The HEC is found at http://www.greece.org and is accessible 7 Days a week, 24 hours a day.
