<p>FredericksburgVaPatriots Meeting Aug. 5, 2010</p><p>The membership meeting of the FredericksburgVaPatriots was held at the Salem Church Library in Fredericksburg. The meeting was called to order. We had the Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation.</p><p>Present 31 people were present and signed onto our Fredericksburg VA Patriots Meeting Roster.</p><p>Guests attending A few guests were introduced and welcomed.</p><p>Minutes from previous meetings are available on our website.</p><p>Treasury Report Treasury Report was presented.</p><p>Events Committee Prayer Walk for Life at University of Mary Washington, August 10, starting 9am Constitution Ride Across America Rally, August 15, Richmond, starting 11am Membership breakfast at Mimi’s Café, August 21, from 8 – 10am Defending the American Dream Summit-Americans for Prosperity, August 26-28 at Marriott Ward man Park, D.C. Restoring Honor Rally Bus, August 28 all day, at Lincoln Memorial 9/11 Memorial Ceremony and March on D.C.- all day Freedom Walk, September 11, Riverfront Park in downtown Fredericksburg, 11- 2pm 9/12 Rally Freedom Works Tax Payer March in D.C. at National Mall, Freedom Plaza and Capital Building.- all day Liberty in America bus, September 14, Fire Station, starting 7pm Virginia Liberty Fest, Richmond Convention Center featuring Judge Andrew Napolitano, September 18 Gun Show at Expo in Fredericksburg, September 25 – 26 Virginia Tea Party Convention, Richmond Convention Center, October 8 -9</p><p>Marketing Committee Dave Van Allen presented information pertaining to the Restoring Honor Rally Buses and where they would be available for those planning to attend. He is accepting pre- orders for the commemorative shirts.</p><p>Brett Holbrook discussed the efforts to find sponsors for advertising at theatres. He is also working on flyers and will price tri-fold brochures. Signs to advertise events will be put up and taken down over weekends. There are several other options for advertising as offered by members. Open Forum Scott Cooper asked us to consider sending volunteers to attend the Supervisor and School Board meetings. We reviewed our 10 Core Principles. Wayne discussed the July 27 meeting that was held to review and discuss Al Johnson’s paper. It explained pros and cons of party affiliations, as it relates to the FVP. It was agreed to table the issue until November.</p><p>Wayne let us know about Rob Wittman’s weekly call list. Check out his website to sign up.</p><p>Election of Officers A list of nominations of officers was presented to a quorum of members present. Motion made and seconded to accept the list and vote the nominees into office, by a committee as a whole.
