WELCOME In the absence of Kristan Welty, David MacGregor opened the meeting. John Williams made a motion to approve the minutes from 28 November 2016. APPROVAL OF Deana Parker seconded the motion. Motion carried. 15 Ayes 0 Nays (re-vote MINUTES March)</p><p>CHANGES TO Table Agenda Item 3 due to absence of Kristan Welty. AGENDA John Williams made a motion to approve the minutes from 24 October 2016. AGENDA ITEM 1 Deana Parker seconded the motion. Motion carried. 15 Ayes 0 Nays (re-vote March)</p><p>Academic Booster Club Eric Maya, social studies teacher, discussed the development of the Academic Booster Club and reviewed the Mission and Vision of the ABC. The group is AGENDA ITEM 2 recruiting new members and is hoping to expand in order to reward students for academic success and academic improvement. The ABC Meeting will follow the SAC meetings for the remainder of the school year. </p><p>Mini-Grant Discussion/Vote AGENDA ITEM 3 Table Mini Grant discussion due to absence of Kristan Welty. QB2</p><p>Mr. Mikulski and Dr. Cox shared results from the Quarter 2 Benchmark Assessments in all tested areas. </p><p>GCHS scored above the District in all areas except Algebra I. The addition of a part-time Math Resource Teacher should promote positive growth in this area. AGENDA ITEM 4 Mr. Mikulski shared the process of Data Dialogues with the District and what information is analyzed. Benchmark results from each teacher, subject area and department are analyzed through Professional Learning Communities (PLC’s) and through data chats with teachers. The teachers use this data to inform instruction.</p><p>AdvancEd information was shared by Mr. Mikulski. Mr. Mikulski discussed the five documents that were compiled for the February SACS accreditation meeting. The district is accredited every five years.</p><p>AGENDA ITEM 5 Self-Assessment surveys were conducted with staff and faculty, parents and Students. AdvancEd has five standards that must be addressed. </p><p>Update on Graduation Requirements Mr. Mikulski shared the following requirements for students to receive a standard diploma: 2.0 GPA, Passing Score on the FSA (or concordant ACT/SAT scores), and Passing AGENDA ITEM 6 Score on the Algebra I EOC (or concordant score on the PERT) 5 seniors have a GPA below 2.0 3 Seniors still need to pass the Algebra I EOC 12 Seniors need to pass the FSA Academic Celebrations Mr. Mikulski GCHS has the highest graduation rate in the district: 97.4% 75% of all our students have taken a college level course GCHS plans to add math and education courses through FSW on our campus AGENDA ITEM 7 for next year Model United Nations took first place at Columbia and first place at the University of Florida. Students also won several individual awards. AGENDA ITEM 8 Testing Calendar Dr. Cox</p><p>Dr. Cox presented an overview of the State Testing Calendar beginning with Writing in February. AICE exams begin in April and Advanced Placements exams are administered primarily during the first 2 weeks of May.</p><p>SDAC Information John Williams</p><p>1700 attended the CCPS Walk A Thon John Williams requested that SAC membership be discussed at the next meeting as attendance has been low. OPEN AGENDA Dave MacGregor requested that the SAC budget be shared at the next SAC meeting.</p><p>Motion to adjourn made by Valerie Anderson at 6:35. Motion was seconded by Bonnie Torres.
