<p>I’m going to show you the mind mapping software MindView. Click on your start menu and locate MindView in the alphabetical list of all programs. If it doesn’t appear in your menu, open a browser, go to http://software.bolton.ac.uk and then under Optional Software tick the Matchware MindView option and Click Here to Apply Changes. This will ensure that MindView appears in the All Programs menu.</p><p>Click on MindView4. You can click on the green button for a list of useful tutorials. I’m going to open a new document, choosing from mind maps, organisational charts, timelines and Gantt charts. Open a new Mind Map. A box appears in the middle of the screen, type your main topic here. When you are brainstorming an assignment, keep adding boxes as shown until you have exhausted your ideas. You can also add sub-branches by clicking on the box you wish to branch from. You can also add in branch connectors, click on Insert and Branch Connectors and click on the boxes you wish to connect. You can save your document at any time by clicking save. </p><p>MindView enables you to quickly create mind maps that you can save and come back to later or even include as a diagram in an assignment.</p>
