<p>Mobile site :</p><p>The mobile site acts as a portal enabling you as parent of Midstream College Primary to easily access and view your child or children’s homework. When your student is registered for the homework module, a configuration is set up, containing information of which teachers teach which subjects to your child or children. This makes the whole process of filtering through all the results containing homework for all the students become redundant, you only see the homework for your child/children. Less is more, and with less effort to get to information you want, you’re bound to use the site more.</p><p>To use the site, you will need a cellphone with internet capabilities. A 56k or better colour screen is recommended.</p><p>Login screen :</p><p>What happens when I log in?</p><p>When you enter a valid username and password, the system finds the student/s associated to you. If you have only one associated student, you are taken directly to the homework entries for the student. This is called the view homework page. If you have more than one assigned student, you are taken to a page where a list of your associated students are displayed. This is the view students page. When you select a student, you are taken to the view homework page for that specific student. On the view homework page, only homework for the associated student is shown. This eleminates the process of filtering through all the homework by all teachers for the entire school, meaning less effort for you to get to the information you want.</p><p>View Students page Takes you to the Homework for the student</p><p>View homework page :</p><p>When you select an Item, a page opens providing more detail for the selected item.</p><p>Full/Main website : The full website has one extra page that allows you to configure your children as student/s, specifying their teachers and subjects. This is done on the student-configuration page. Other differences are extra buttons providing functionality to go back to your list of students.</p><p>You will need a computer with at least windows xp installed to use the site and Internet explorer 6 or better. </p><p>My Student quick-link :</p><p>This button is available throughout the entire main site, and by clicking it, you are re- directed to the view students section :</p><p>View Students Page :</p><p>You’ll notice that this is a button that does not appear on the mobile site. Click this button to configure your child or children’s teachers and subjects.</p><p>Student Configuration Page: This is a pretty much self-explanatory page for setting up the relationship of which subjects are taught to your child and by which teacher.</p>
