Kyere (30) has a degree in Economics and Management from the University of Ghana and an MBA in Marketing from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is in Plymouth for two weeks promoting Fairtrade as a guest of the Plymouth Ghana Link, www.plymouthghanalink.org.

Erica has worked at Kuapa Kokoo for six years firstly as a Development Officer and subsequently promoted to her current position of Communications Manager.

As a development officer, she travelled many of the cocoa-growing villages to help with problems and challenges that members of the Cooperative face. As communications manager she leads the communications team to promote the Cooperative, which has 45,000 farmer members in over 1,300 villages and remote communities.

“Fairtrade means a lot to us in Kuapa Kokoo. By purchasing a Fairtrade product, you will be helping farmers get access to clean drinking water which people in the North take for granted, you’ll be helping a poor child get access to education and generally helping a farmer take control of his or her life! What keeps me going is when a farmer smiles at me after something I have done and says thank you for helping us to improve!”

1 Limited parking available – book through Elaine Budd, 07712 586060, [email protected]
