<p>WATER OPERATOR Advertisement – for website </p><p>Water Operator – Doylestown Township is seeking applications for an open job position in the township’s water authority. Applying applicants shall be non-smokers and non-users of all and any tobacco products in compliance with Township employment policies. Applicants shall hold and maintain a valid and current Pennsylvania Driver Operator License in good standing. </p><p>The candidate hired shall be required to obtain a commercial driver license and to successfully pass random drug tests in accordance with the </p><p>Commonwealth of Pennsylvania commercial driver regulations. </p><p>In addition, applicants with a Pennsylvania Water Operator </p><p>License of “B” or greater are preferred, however, those without would be required to earn an operations license with sub-classifications 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 at a minimum, during employment. </p><p>Applicants shall provide a recent criminal record check as required by the </p><p>Pennsylvania Water Operator Certification Act, as well as any other required documentation required for operators of a public water system.</p><p>The successful candidate for the Water Department position shall perform daily operational duties, such as, but not limited too, installation and/or repair of water mains, fire hydrants and services, reading of meters, collection of operational data via computer systems, monitor mechanical systems, take water tests and make operational recommendations meeting permit conditions while meeting local, state and federal laws as relates to a public water system and regulations of the Doylestown Township</p><p>Municipal Authority. Applicants should have the enthusiasm to work in a</p><p>Public Works environment; be self motivated and capable of working independently as well as in a group. The successful candidate must be able to work assigned schedules in the course of his or her duties and to respond to water system problems after hours, as needed.
