THOUGHTS FROM SAFI ALUMNI I walked away from this course with solid, practical information that I now weave into every facet of the multi facetted world of Student Affairs. The insight that I gained about my profession has been invaluable; from theorists to the dreaded assessment process, no stone was left unturned. –Sue Miller, Director of Student Life, South Georgia College

I found the SAFI course to be a great opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of the history, theoretical basis, and practice of student affairs. The practical education that SAFI offers is invaluable; the class work, assignments, and conversations with other SAFI students really helped me acquire skills that I have used every day in my work. In addition, the networking opportunities with colleagues from institutions throughout the state are priceless. –Michelle Ritan, Administrative Assistant, Agnes Scott College

SAFI helped me strengthen not only the foundation of what we do in Student Affairs, but perhaps, more importantly, why I do what I do. For some, Student Affairs is a profession. Participation in SAFI allowed me to see that it is truly a vocation and provided the impetus for me to continue my educational and professional goals through a doctoral program in the coming year. –Michael Stewart, Assistant Dean of Students, Macon State College

WHO ARE THE FACULTY?  Dr. Alicia Caudill Colburn is the Associate Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students at Gainesville State College in Gainesville, GA.
