The student will be able to critically analyze historical information. A. The student will examine historical primary documents and secondary sources examining specific events in US history since 1877. B. The student will formulate opinions on causes of major American social and political movements. II. The student will be able to effectively demonstrate advanced oral and written communication skills III. The student will gain an understanding of the diversity in the development of the United States and the impact of factors such as class, race, gender, and religion. IV. The student will develop a clear sense of social responsibility and citizenship in both a modern and historical sense. A.
