Puckett, Central Office Administrator Systems and Fiscal Management Branch</p><p>DATE: October 1, 2012 December 1, 2012 UPDATE</p><p>RE: Certified Lincoln Electric Welding Training Program at White Staffing Management In Hopkinsville, Kentucky </p><p>The purpose of this Service Fee Memorandum (SFM) is to outline the procedures and set the fees to be applied when OVR supports participation of consumers in the above referenced training program. </p><p>The training is ten (10) days in length consisting of three (3) days of basic welding training, four (4) days utilizing the virtual reality training unit and three (3) days doing live welding exercises.</p><p>Upon successful completion of this unit of study the student will be able to: - Identify definitions and terminology associated with welding - Demonstrate safe working habits in the welding environment - Name the parts and types of welds and weld joints - Interpret basic welding symbol information - Identify opportunities available to welders</p><p>At the end of the training the student will receive a Certification of Completion. The student will also sit for the American Welding Society Certification examination.</p><p>The total cost of the above training to include the certification examination is $550.00 (in the Hopkinsville facility) or $675 (in remote locations). Expenditure code 33A Technical or Trade Non-Degree Program: Tuition is to be used.</p><p>If the consumer is unsuccessfully in passing the Certification Exam on the first attempt the counselor may authorize for the student to retake the exam an additional time.
