<p> Look Beyond the Obvious to Develop Effective Functional Behavior Assessments & Behavior Intervention Plans</p><p>Participants will learn to document the antecedent, behavior, & consequence. Attempt to look beyond the obvious interpretation of behavior as “bad” and determine what function it may be serving for a child. Participants will take observations, turn them into a Functional Behavior Assessment and create a concrete plan of action for managing a student’s behavior, develop strategies to stop the behavior, provide positive reinforcement, employ planned ignoring, and provide supports needed.</p><p>Teams are encouraged to attend with observation data already collected on a student. Participants will be able to work with own data to design a Behavior Intervention Plan for their student.
