(10 pts.) Please Include the Data Sheet.

2. (2 pts.) Compare and contrast the two sensors used in class; give one advantage and one disadvantage for using both of the GreenSeeker sensors.

3. (1.5 pts.) Consider field variability, explain why using the GreenSeeker sensor system to make N fertilizer recommendations can be advantageous. What is a drawback to using this system?

4. (1.5 pts.) The one prerequisite for using the GreenSeeker sensor system to make N fertilizer recommendations is the establishment of an N-Rich reference strip which is representative of the entire field. Explain how last year’s crop, soil type, and producer management practices can influence the NDVI collected from the N-Rich Strip in terms of mineralization and immobilization.

Conclusion: (2.5 pts.) How does it apply to your field of study or will be applicable in your future career?

Extra Credit (5 pts.) Complete the lab again using the sensor readings from in the field but with real market prices for the day of the lab (Nov. 16, 2016). You must include the prices and the source from which you found the current pricing.

3
