<p> Equipment Return Procedure</p><p>Use this procedure when your campus has items (equipment, furniture, etc) that need to be moved to the warehouse for either storage or disposal:</p><p>Tagging Procedure:</p><p>1. The librarian or designee is responsible for tagging items such as TVs, carts, VCRs, cassette players, record players, headphones etc. 2. The CTA or TA is responsible for tagging items such as computers, scanners, printers, monitors, plotters, switches, data projectors, box of misc. technology items, etc. 3. Notify Maintenance via email that there are items to be picked up. 4. Fill out the Equipment Return Tag indicating: a. What Campus the item is from b. Your Name c. The Status of the item (see the tag for details) d. Any Comments about the item that will help clarify what is to be done with the item e. When Maintenance was notified via email 5. Print the tag. 6. Sign the tag. 7. Tape the tag to the item.</p><p>NOTE: For multiple items in the same condition (i.e. 20 chairs that are all broken), tag one of the chairs and indicate in the comments section that this applies to the 20 chairs marked with a black marker… </p><p>The people assigned to remove the equipment will be instructed to move only items that have been tagged. This procedure will save HOURS of time once the equipment arrives at the warehouse.</p>
