This year, seventeen high school students from the Lycée Jean-Monnet, a regional school about forty-five minutes southwest of Paris, will come to stay with us in Bristol.</p><p>When: Friday, 3/30-Wednesday, 4/11</p><p>About the students: The students are fifteen or sixteen years old and are the equivalent of sophomores in high school. They have taken between two and six years of English at school. We have 8 boys and 9 girls coming. </p><p>Online information: Please visit http://www.bristol.k12.ct.us/page.cfm?p=150 to see information about prior exchanges with France, including our visits there and their visits here.</p><p>The visit: They will be visiting our school and taking excursions in the area. Please see the attached schedule (draft) for more information. . Emails. French students will correspond via email with students in French classes. </p><p>. Food and lodging. American host families will provide food and lodging for the French students. (The favor will be returned when we travel to France next year!) </p><p>. Daily activities. They will come to school with their Bristol classmates and will participate in all our daily activities. We encourage our host families to work together to plan group activities as well. </p><p>. Weekends. Over the weekend the students will be with their host families and will enjoy some outings or typical American leisure time activities. </p><p>We anticipate that this exchange will go as well as the previous ones. Lifelong friendships can be forged from these exchanges.
