Launched one year ago, EY’s goal is to connect women athletes who seek meaningful careers outside their sport with its robust business network of top women leaders and entrepreneurs around the world, many of whom have sports in their background. The network is designed to share lessons learned from career transitions, to mentor, open doors and create opportunities and to inspire the next generation of women athletes to maximize their potential. A background in sports serves women well to become future business leaders. In fact, an EY survey released last year of senior managers and executives in business found that the vast majority (90%) of the women surveyed had played sports either at primary and secondary school, or during university or other tertiary education, with this proportion rising to 96% among executive women in the C-suite.

CONTACT: Gregor Ridley, EY, +44-7824-823128, [email protected] Michele Vana, FleishmanHillard, 212-453-2214, [email protected] Brett Cummings, FleishmanHillard, 212-453-2469, [email protected]
