<p> Historical Scholarship Winners</p><p>Rotary Club of Indialantic established a scholarship in 1984 for graduating seniors of Satellite High School. The initial award was a total of $250.00. The club awarded scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year totaling $16,150 with FIT matching bringing this amount to $32,275 total awards. Since 2010 all scholarship awards were to students attending FIT the semester following the award. Our scholarships are somewhat unique in that we wait until after the annual school awards programs before we accept applications. Also, the awards are based primarily on community service and leadership displayed in school activities. Grades and need are secondary criteria. </p><p>The last three years applications have been accepted from any secondary school in Brevard County and home schooled students are eligible as well. The intent is to have these highly skilled students attend College in Brevard and hopefully they will stay here after graduation to provide the skilled workforce that will be needed in the future </p><p>The Rotary Club of Indialantic has awarded over $195,275 in scholarships since the program began with FIT providing an additional $73,125 in matching funds the last four years. Mike Holliday and Tom Gamble Started and co-chaired this project until Tom's Passing.
