<p>CITY OF FERNAN LAKE VILLAGE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING June 6, 2011</p><p>The Mayor called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. There was a quorum present of Council members, Myers, Tierney, Jurvelin and Job. Staff members Cheri Howell, Cindy Espe, Charyl Stornetta, and Bill Appleton were present. </p><p>Recognize Guests – Chuck Tasca and Martin Stacey from the Rowing Club were present, Nick Snyder from Parks and Waterways was also in attendance.</p><p>Pubilc Comments –Jan Daugharty was in attendance to address the council on the location of a tree planted in observance of Arbor Day.</p><p>City Planner – There was lengthy discussion regarding Fernan Park and the lease with the Rowing Club. Martin Stacey presented history of the Rowing Club. Chuck Tasca presented information regarding finances and the gate on the dock. Nick Snyder discussed his conversations with the county commissioners regarding lease and addressed future plans for the park.</p><p>Planning Commission– Members Paul Fromm, Caroline Crollard, Rita Whiteford, and Sabrina Goodsen were in attendance to discuss the Fernan Park and Rowing Club. </p><p>May Minutes -The minutes for the May 9th City Council meeting were reviewed. There was a motion made by Councilmember Job, seconded by Councilmember Tierney to approve the May 9th, 2011 minutes. Motion carried with Jurvelin, Tierney, Myers, and Job. </p><p>Payables and Financials. The Council reviewed the payables report and the Financials Report. There was a motion made by Jurvelin, seconded by Myers to approve the financials and payables. Motion carried with Jurvelin, Tierney, Myers, and Job. </p><p>Engineer’s Report. The engineer wasn’t present at this meeting.</p><p>City Attorney – There was discussion of current Fernan ordinances in place and the process everyone must adhere to regarding permits.</p><p>Clerk Report –The Community yard sale flyer for June 18th was distributed. The preliminary budget will be heard July 11th. The clerk will be attending an elections training August 8th. The RC Worst contract will be reviewed at the July 11th meeting.</p><p>Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 8:25p.m. Motion made by Councilmember Job, seconded by Tierney to adjourn.
