<p> OLD FARNHAMIANS’ ASSOCIATION</p><p>We return to the Woodlands Lodge Hotel, after three successful luncheons at this lovely hotel at Woodlands in the New Forest. This will be the 50th Southampton Lunch and it is hoped that a record number of members will attend and the total will exceed fifty. The date is Wednesday 12th October 2011.</p><p>The hotel has been booked from mid-day and this will enable members to have a drink and a chat in the bar prior to sitting down for the three course meal at 1.00 pm. The dress will be informal as usual, although the OFA tie should be worn. The drinks at the bar and wine for the table can be purchased at the bar or via the waiters and are not included in the price of the luncheon. Should you have any dietary requirements, please let me know well before the event so that a special meal can be arranged. It is hoped that a guest of honour will attend the event.</p><p>The cost of the luncheon this year is £21.00, which is a little more than last year. HOW TO GET THERE: The hotel is situated nine miles west of Southampton, between the A35 at Ashurst and the A336 at Netley Marsh and passing Busketts Lawn Hotel, our former venue, into Bartley Road. FROM M27 JUNCTION 2 (reached from M3 from London or A36 from Salisbury): Take A326 from Fawley, pass superstore roundabout, at the next roundabout turn right into 3rd exit. This is A336 signposted Netley Marsh. After a few hundred yards turn left, opposite the White Horse pub into Woodlands Road. Busketts Lawn is just over a mile on the left and the road continues into Bartley Road. The hotel is two hundred yards on the left. FROM LYNDHURST: Take the A35 towards Southampton. After 2 miles into Ashurst, turn left into Woodlands Road (opposite New Forest Hotel on your right).
