Amendments Booklet

Create a children’s picture book that explains the Amendments to the Constitution. Each Amendment will get its own page. You need to draw/cut out a picture that REPRESENTS the Amendment. You also need to explain the Amendment in your OWN words (as if to a child). I prefer the booklet to be on construction paper (it’s sturdier!), but colored paper or unlined copy paper will work. The Amendments that you must include are Amendments 1-10 (Bill of Rights), 13, 14, 18, 19, 21.

You will be graded on the following: How complete is the booklet? Do you have ALL the Amendments that were assigned? How detailed is it? Would your explanations make sense to a child? Are your explanations accurate? How neat is it? Is it organized well? I’m not a great artist, but I can tell the difference between something that has had time put into it and something that has not. Do you have a title page with your name and the name of your book?

This will be due February 3 (which should be the day of the test). You will have one day in class to work on it. Do your best, as this is a test grade.

If you have any questions, be sure to ask me!
