<p> ASHRA MEETING MINUTES 3/25/2016 7:30 PM Mid Winter Meeting Update and Changes – Don  Ground Rules and Changes  Jason Hershberger to get changes for reining cow horse for State Finals. We must have a vote to adopt for State Finals.  Ground Rules Vote to be adopted Motion – Pete Kennedy Second – Patches Approved  Dodge tickets next year will be an 80/20 split replacing the current 50/50. Great week with the kids, attended lots of meeting brought back great information. We have an outstanding reputation and represented Arizona outstandingly, thank you for being great state representatives.  JC has decided to run for National Student President.  Next year Arizona will be hosting the Mid Winter meeting.  Don will be taking the National President position this year.  Mr. James will be the National Shooting Director for the JR High Finals </p><p>RFD TV contacted us regarding State Finals - Jack  Cost to have RFD for State Finals will be $5,000 / 5 hotel rooms approximate total $6,000.  We have the opportunity to sale 4/30 second commercial spots for $1,500 and would split 750/750 this would help with recouping the cost.  $6,000 to come out of the general fund  Vote to have RFD TV Motion – Andee White Second – Yvette Kent Approved</p><p>Budget for Year End Awards  Budget looks good using 4 vendors Crouts Usher Brands Gist Corky  Reminder the National logo can only go on National items through - Carol Leather</p><p>Scholarships  New scholarships opportunity the family of Betsy Rose are giving 2-$2,000 scholarships (GIRLS ONLY) sorry guys.  April 15th is the deadline for scholarships.  No Jim Steinman this year.  National scholarship money this year is $288,000 compared to last year of $144,000 we are waiting for information from Nationals.</p><p>State Finals  JR High Finals will be 2 go’s on Friday, we will need extra help with directors.  Entry Forms are on the website  No changes to fees for either High School or JR High  Meeting with the town of Payson regarding fees  Vote to have Bob Weir announce for State Finals Motion – Pete Kennedy Second – Terry James Approved Meeting Adjourned – 8:15pm</p>
