Remove the bandage on the evening after surgery.</p><p>2. Soak your foot (feet) in warm water and Epsom salt for 10 minutes.</p><p>3. Apply a small amount of Betadine and then a small piece of gauze and tape or a band-aid.</p><p>4. Do this twice a day for one week, then stop the soaks.</p><p>5. After one week, apply a dry band-aid during the day and allow to air dry at night. If you notice an increase in the redness or you think the area is becoming infected, please call our office.</p><p>6. If a permanent procedure was performed, you can expect some drainage and redness, although it should not extend more than a half inch up the toe.</p><p>7. Take extra strength Tylenol for pain, or the pain medication prescribed.</p>
