
<p> Northrop Grumman Space Technology High School Summer Intern Program</p><p>About The Program</p><p>The Northrop Grumman Space Technology (NGST) High School Summer Intern Program is a cornerstone of our education strategy and helps to address future work force needs and challenges. With support from the highest levels of management, the program provides a challenging technical experience and exposure to Northrop Grumman’s programs, culture, environment and abundant networking opportunities.</p><p>The NGST High School Summer Intern Program focuses on high schools that are part of the NGST Partners In Education Program and students who participate in the FIRST robotics program. In addition, a few positions will be held for outstanding students from local high schools who have a strong interest in science, technology, engineering and math careers.</p><p>High School Intern Program Requirements</p><p>Internships are available to students who are juniors and seniors in the 2007/2008 school year. To be considered for our program, intern candidates must:</p><p> Have a strong interest in science, technology, engineering or math careers and taking college preparatory courses Have a minimum of a 3.3 grade point average on a 4.0 scale Complete and submit the “High School Intern Questionnaire” to NGST Develop and submit a resume (with contact information) to NGST Obtain and submit a letter of recommendation from their school that includes verification of their grade point average Be available for an interview April 2008 Be at least 16 years of age and able to obtain a work permit if under 18 years of age Submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation Be a citizen of the United States</p><p>The Process</p><p>Applications for the NGST Summer Intern Program will be accepted January 15 – March 15, 2008. Interested students should complete the “High School Intern Questionnaire”, develop a resume and obtain a letter of recommendation from their school and submit the information to:</p><p>Northrop Grumman Space Technology Office of Public Affairs One Space Park Dr., E2/10062 Redondo Beach, CA 90278</p><p>After all of the applications have been reviewed, students will be contacted to set up a personal interview.
