Main learning objectives of lesson to be made clear to all.</p><p>2. Students to be introduced to the circle (large plastic hoop). A volunteer is asked to stand inside the circle. This volunteer will be expected to entertain sensible questions about how they feel about being in the circle. </p><p>3. Teacher to make a comparison with subjectivity and objectivity. Recap on how this is an essential skill in RE. </p><p>4. Introduce the Golden Rule using power-point about importance of Respect.</p><p>5. Allow students to reflect in the back of their books on how they can make their lifestyles simpler. </p><p>6. Interview on Life in a Monastery. Allow students in groups of two to take on the role of either interviewer or interviewee. </p><p>7. Create a Newspaper Article. Instructions outlined on power-point.</p><p>8. 5 Minute Plenary on what we have learnt, will take the form of who wants to be a spiritual millionaire quiz.</p><p>DIFFERENTIATION: Extension: All you need for Enlightenment is to join a Monastery. Discuss.</p><p>Less able students will use differentiated source sheets on Life in a Monastery. Role of Support Staff N/A</p><p>GROUPING RESOURCES Power-point. Class groups Self produced Task Sheet and Work Sheets</p><p>LANGUAGE/LITERACY ICT COMPONENTS</p><p>Key Words are highlighted on the board. Students are shown a Power-point highlighting key points. W/S is to be read out loud in class. </p><p>Students must show their own understanding of the W/S in a written task. </p><p>Students are asked to read through work and check their own spellings by cross reference to the Source Sheet. NUMERACY CITIZENSHIP DEV. OF INDEPENDENCE Silent reading. Developing skills of enquiry and Students encouraged to decide for themselves how communication through they want to deign their newspaper article.. class discussion and debate. Looking at the needs a Community within a larger Community. </p><p>ASSESSMENT Teacher Assessment through discussion involving Q&A.</p><p>HOMEWORK </p>
