<p>Alan Hewitt Scholarship Requirements</p><p> You must have been accepted to an institution of higher education. (SD School preferred but not mandatory)</p><p> Your parents must be insured by a Farm Mutual Insurance Company of South Dakota</p><p> You must have an accumulative 3.0 grade point average or better.</p><p> You must be a business degree major (insurance field preferred but not mandatory)</p><p> Student will write a 200-word essay introducing him/her. Describe plans for college and how this money will be helpful in achieving their future goals. </p><p> Completed essay must be submitted to German Mutual Farmers Insurance Company, Attn: Joy Groen, PO Box 348, Scotland, SD 57059 by June 10 of the year. </p><p>The Alan Hewitt Scholarship is a $250 educational scholarship to be presented to a student whose parents are insured with a domiciled mutual insurance company. The S.D.A.M.I.C. Board of Directors selects the recipient. The scholarship will be awarded jointly to the institution and the recipient prior to the fall semester. Winning essay will be sent to the family of Alan Hewitt. </p>
