<p> Wilbarger General Hospital Vernon, Texas</p><p>Job Description</p><p>Job Title: Accounting Clerk</p><p>Department: Accounting</p><p>Job Summary: Responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to Accounting Department personnel. Maintains accounting document files, including daily work, monthly reconciliations, all payroll duties, Home Health billing and physician office rental billing. Assists accounting personnel as requested. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Class III. Job Qualifications: A. Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience.</p><p>B. Personal Job-Related Skills: Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment. Good oral and written communication skills.</p><p>C. Licensure, Registry or Certification: None required.</p><p>D. Experience: 1. Prior work experience: Three years accounting experience preferred.</p><p>2. Technical Training: None.</p><p>E. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require extended periods of sitting. Occasional periods of standing and walking. Basically a sedentary position. </p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: A. Prepare assigned monthly account reconciliations. </p><p>B. Execute all payroll duties including timesheets corrections, deductions, payroll process, payroll taxes with required reporting, and payroll special circumstances.</p><p>C. Maintain payroll related documentation.</p><p>Revised 5/1/2017 D. Prepare labor distribution worksheet.</p><p>E. Generate and run various month-end CPSI reports and save electronic copy for future reference.</p><p>F. Home Health Services billing, including input of admission patient financial information, billing, receiving payments, posting transactions, follow up on appeals, maintaining patient accounts.</p><p>G. Assist Home Health Director with patient financial information.</p><p>H. Work in QuickBooks to generate, assemble and distribute physician office rental billing.</p><p>I. Generate, assemble, and distribute various monthly reports to department manager.</p><p>J. Assist in yearly outside Audit preparation.</p><p>K. Assist in Cost Report preparation.</p><p>L. Various other accounting projects as needed.</p><p>Other Significant Requirements: </p><p>A. Understanding and adherence with WGH Mission, Vision, and Values.</p><p>B. Maintains confidentiality while working with confidential matters on a daily basis.</p><p>C.
