Quarterly Goals for Core Subjects Would Be Written Here for Core Subjects (Also SMART Goals)

<p>Participants: J. Lever, D. Hall, A. Butler, E. Bentler, R. Miller, J. Weiss</p><p>Date: April 24, 2013</p><p>Our Annual Goal: By May 2013, through the implementation of Daily 5 and CAFÉ, students working on grade level will increase from 60% to 70%.</p><p>Quarterly goals for core subjects would be written here for core subjects (also SMART Goals)</p><p>By end of 3rd quarter in reading through the implementation of Daily 5 and CAFÉ, students on grade level will increase from 61% to 65%.</p><p>By end of 3rd quarter in math through remediation and intervention 75% of LEP students will increase the number of questions correct by two to make a quarters worth of growth in number sense based on CBM. </p><p>By end of 3rd quarter in writing through implementation of writer’s workshop, students on grade level will increase from 58% to 63%.</p><p> Announcements…  Ellie i. Kristin assessing to see where they could get placed</p><p>Kites Case 21 Assessment (7 Questions) on grade total % of students</p><p> level students on grade level</p><p>Butler 11 20 55.00%</p><p>Hall 15 19 78.95%</p><p>McCann 7 7 100.00%</p><p>Lever 8 20 40.00% Weiss 15 19 78.95% Total 56 85 65.88%</p><p>Thoughts on Assessment  More familiar topic  Writing about what they already know about topic (prior knowledge)  Some students are going back and using test taking strategies, some are not  Seeing the same pattern  Still big concern-Students that are reading below grade level but expecting to take an assessment on a second grade level</p><p>Math - Day 135 Assessment Subtraction with regrouping on grade total % of students level students on grade level</p><p>Butler 17 20 85.00%</p><p>Hall 13 19 68.42%</p><p>McCann 7 7 100.00%</p><p>Lever 11 18 61.11%</p><p>Weiss 11 19 57.89% Total 59 83 71.08%</p><p>Thoughts on Assessment  Some kids only missed one question but it put them below requirement  Kids that scored below – all receiving small group instruction, support from teaching assistant, and/or pull out instruction from Mrs. Kingston  Errors – some with basic subtraction, some with regrouping  Number 9 – they had to pick the correct equation to go with the word problem o More confusing question for them, using an unknown</p>
