<p> Break Up Letter Assignment</p><p>Now that we’ve read the Declaration of Independence, it’s your turn to get creative with it to show that you understand what it says.</p><p>Imagine that the colonies and Great Britain have been “dating” and rewrite the Declaration of Independence as a break up letter.</p><p>Feel free to get creative—make it as realistic a letter as possible.</p><p>Be sure to cover all EIGHT sections of the Declaration of Independence-- here’s how I’ll know you covered them: in the margins of your letter, write the number of the section of the DoI that that part of your letter corresponds to.</p><p>EXAMPLE:</p><p>You are such a worthless, lazy, good for nothing slob. I'm so sick of you that I can barely come home at night. I'm through. I'm tired of picking up your 5 dirty clothes off of the floor and making you dinner every night for you to just sit there and contribute nothing.</p><p>I realize our relationship is not what it should be. We have been just existing for but not truly bonding with each other. Our relationship has been dead for a long time and I am just hurting you by trying to continue with 3 something that just isn't there. I can't keep on "flogging a dead horse" and expecting something to come out of this relationship.
