I can’t be bothered Prep - Sitting waiting for others to do Prep – “I can’t” “Help Please” “You can What can I get away with everything for them no or limited do it” Lin – some lack confidence, input Lin – “What?” “Can’t” “Yes, got it” “I overwhelmed Lin - Some questioning discussion know, I know….” Those who are confident who have got it resourceful – using peers to seek Deb – “Me, me, me” “Stop” “Finish” to Deb – motivated or disheartened nervous support cf cheat –recognising and each other Trudy – excited with new activities using skills of children in group Trudy – wave for attention, eye contact, Repetitive loose interest Deb – being competitive plus or take hand Virginia – frustrated with lack of minus with others / groups Marylou - Single words communication insecure boys/girls, have to finish first own Gestures MaryLou – frustrated step back feel too performance Unrelated responses / comments – risky Trudy – (Special Needs Group) have songs mimic recall a go / try Hand up me….. help… don’t…. Ask for help if it is a new activity Virginia – not being independent of adults demanding asking for help Marylou – see good persistence in some How would you like them to be? Independent Willing to try – have a go Feel secure Have opinions valued and respected Confident Use strategic thinking Being flexible Have own ideas Resilient Self belief Happy Having fun Observant – peers / others Stop think then do Open to new ideas Accepting of others ideas Determined Proud / pride in self and others Part of a group</p>
