On page 16, Pi says, “I have heard nearly as much nonsense about zoos as I have about God and religion.” Later in the chapter, he says, “I know zoos are no longer in people’s good graces. Religion faces the same problem. Certain illusions about freedom plague them both” (21). After reading his descriptions of zoo life, has your opinion about zoos changed – or at least been made a little more open to change?</p><p>5. Who is Mr. Satish Kumar?
