Wayne has a white cane too!

There's one big difference between these two. Jane is a girl and Wayne is a boy. But they both have eyes and ears on their faces And mouths that smile with joy.

Jane and Wayne are kind of small Their moms and dads are bigger, Why is that? Both children ask. Together they try to figure.

"My mom’s and dad's hands are bigger than mine," Wayne said to Jane that day, My mom and dad are strong, replied Jane. I love when they lift me up to play.

When Wayne grows up, he'll become a man. That's the way it goes. His whole body will grow bigger From his head down to his toes

When Jane grows up, a woman she'll be Her body will really change She'll be the same, with an older look and sound Don't you think that seems strange?

When a boy grows to become a man, On his face grows a prickly Beard, He must shave each day to have smooth cheeks, But women don’t! Isn’t that weird?

Women with kids are called mum. Men with kids are called dad.
