<p> Sample Weekly Calendar</p><p>CW: Read p.1-25 of Color Purple. Took notes on pages read. Analyzed characters and picked out possible symbols. Monday April 20 HW: Read p. 26--50 of Color Purple. Wrote summary, notes on character development. Found & read poem called "The Storm." CW: Absent (work must be made up on weekend)</p><p>Tuesday HW: Read p. 50-100 Color Purple, took notes. Decided not to April 21 use "The Storm" and found three possible stories at library. Read one of them ("Europe")</p><p>CW: Took notes on "Europe." Had conference with Mrs. Rouse Wed. about symbolism in title. April 22 HW: Read two other short stories ("Passing" and "Minister's Black Veil") and took notes. CW: Went to the library to find another poem. Found one poem Thurs. ("Dream Deferred") and a play (Raisin in the Sun). Returned to class, read poem. April 23 HW: Began making quiz for first half of Color Purple.</p><p>CW: Read three more chapters in Color Purple, took notes. </p><p>Friday HW: Found essay by James Thurber that may be useful. Read 2 April 24 more chapters Color Purple.</p><p>Saturday Finished reading and notes for Color Purple. April 25</p><p>Began reading Raisin in the Sun and taking notes. Sunday April 26 </p>
