The eco-friendly home meets Green Guide for Health Care standards for healthy and sustainable building design, construction, and operations for the healthcare industry.</p><p>Governor Schwarzenegger was on hand to cut the ribbon and to thank California veterans for their service.</p><p>The Ventura facility is one of three state veterans’ homes that make up the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Homes of California project, the largest investment in state history for new veteran homes.</p><p>General Services is currently working with Veterans Affairs to build two additional veterans homes in Fresno and Redding, with ground breaking due in 2010.</p><p>BUILDING GREEN • BUYING GREEN • WORKING GREEN </p>
