American Humanics Internships in Nonprofit Management & Leadership California State University, Fresno</p><p>Brief descriptions and expectations of the four different types of AH Internships:</p><p>General Internship HOURS: May involve ANY # of hours agreed to by the student and the community partner organization (typically less than 150 hours). COMPENSATION: Unpaid, hourly wage, or flat stipend PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPONSORSHIP: $325 from the community partner organization (to cover the student’s full registration fee for the AH Management Institute).</p><p>Community Service Scholar HOURS: Typically involves 150 hours. Arranged and coordinated by Aleta Wolfe in Career Services ([email protected]). COMPENSATION: $750 matching scholarship from both the community partner organization and the Radin Community Service Scholarship Fund (student receives $1500 scholarship) PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPONSORSHIP: $250 from the community partner organization (to partially cover the student’s registration fee for the AH Management Institute).</p><p>Next Generation Scholar HOURS: 300 hours. Competitive national scholarship from American Humanics, Inc. for which students must apply one semester in advance. COMPENSATION: $500 scholarship from the community partner organization and $4,500 from AH, Inc. (student receives $5000 scholarship) PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPONSORSHIP: $1000 from the community partner organization (to fully cover the student’s registration fee, transportation, and lodging at the AH Management Institute).</p><p>AmeriCorps ProCorps Member HOURS: May involve 450, 900, or 1700 hours. COMPENSATION: Requires an hourly wage of between $10-13 per hour. Student also receives an Education Award—$4,725 for 1700 hours of service, $2,362 for 900 hours, or $1,250 for 450 hours—upon the completion of service. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPONSORSHIP: $250, $500, or $1000 for 450, 900, or 1700 hours, respectively, from the community partner organization (to cover a portion or all of the student’s costs for participation in the AH Management Institute.</p>
